About Lumos

Be Seen, Heard, and Accepted as You Are

Lumos Mental Health was created as a place where well-being, mental health, growth, and safety are treasured and respected values. As a fellow human being, I know what trying to feel your way through the darkness is like and how scary mental health struggles can be.

Lumos, meaning light, at Lumos Mental Health, I aim to provide you with a warm approach, a clearer picture of what you want and how to get there, and a belief in yourself that will enable you to craft and follow your unique path.

As a young adult, I moved to the US from Central America and experienced various challenges, including mental health difficulties. Seeking help during this time made me realize how challenging finding the proper support can be and how beneficial it can be once it is found.

Being a therapist for over 15+ years has only strengthened my belief in the power of a solid therapeutic relationship. I consider it a true privilege to provide this, and I have seen time and time again how the changes we seek are within our reach; we need to uncover our inner guiding light and learn to trust ourselves.

I am fortunate to have a true passion for my work and the services I provide. Seeing my clients change in ways they never thought possible brings me so much joy. This love for helping others live their best lives leads me to continue learning and finding ways to provide the most effective, efficient, and long-lasting help.

In addition to being a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Addiction Professional in Florida, I have acquired specialized training in the most cutting-edge therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, DBT, and ACT.
